Against the backdrop of Women’s Day 2016, celebrated on March 8, under the theme, ‘Pledge For Parity”, and as we continue to acknowledge and celebrate the progress we have made both locally and international, in our campaign to establish and acknowledge the rights of women, our very own ,Mayor of Kingston, Dr. Angela Brown Burke is preparing to make her presentation, as one of the Panelists at the UN Commission on the Status of Women, 60th session, now in progress in New York.
THE PUBLIC IS BEING ADVISED THAT THERE WILL BE TRAFFIC DELAYS IN THE VICINITY OF THE NATIONAL STADIUM BETWEEN THURSDAY, MARCH 17 AND SATURDAY, MARCH 19, 2016.
THIS IS TO ACCOMMODATE THE ANNUAL BOYS AND GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
MOTORISTS SHOULD EXPECT DELAYS ON THE ROADWAY ALONG ARTHUR WINT DRIVE, MOUNTAIN VIEW AVENUE AND ROOSEVELT AVENUE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9:00 A.M. AND 9:00 P.M. EACH DAY
MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO PROCEED WITH CAUTION IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY AND OBEY DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY THE POLICE.

OPERATION: MOSQUITO SEARCH AND DESTROY
The St. Catherine leg of the ZIKA-V cleanup operation, dubbed ‘Operation: Mosquito Search and Destroy’ kicked off Saturday February 20, 2016 in Old Braeton and Reid’s Pen, Portmore. Following which, a launch was also held at the St. Catherine Parish Council that subsequently took the team and host of volunteers into the Rivoli community, Spanish Town.
