Marvalee Martin who joined the Council on August 19, 2013 died suddenly at her home on Wednesday, August 31, 2016.

INSPECTORS OF POOR IN TRAINING
The Board of Supervision, in the Ministry of Local Government has, since August 2016, released three (3) individuals from the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) and the Ministry of Local Government, for training in the area of Inspectors of Poor in the St. Catherine Parish Council’s Poor Relief Department and Infirmary, respectively.
The eight weeks training which commenced on August 08 concludes on September 28.
The KSAC recently partnered with ODPEM to hold a Shelter Managers’ Conference which was aimed at providing information about the role of shelter managers and providing recommended solutions to improve the Municipality’s Shelter Programme.
Shelter Managers in Kingston and St. Andrew were presented with Shelter Kits which include waterboots, raincoats, safety vests and stationery which will assist in them carrying out their functions more efficiently.
