28 Residents left homeless after massive fire in Kingston

Flames engulf the residence leaving 28 people homeless

The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) notes with regret the massive fire which occurred on March 16, 2017 at premises located at the corner of King Street and Beeston Street, Kingston.

Despite this unfortunate setback, which has left 28 residents, including 12 children homeless, we are thankful that no lives were lost.

The KSAMC will extend its usual support to the victims of the fire to enable them to recover. Kingston’s Mayor Delroy Williams, has expressed regret and is ensuring that the KSAMC extends support to those affected.

His Worship the Mayor of Kingston, Senator Cllr. Delroy Williams visits St. Aloysius and Holy Rosary Primary Schools in Kingston to encourage and motivate Grade 6 students ahead of their GSAT Examinations.

The Mayor and his team which include Deputy Mayor Cllr. Winston Ennis, Councillor Donovan Samuels (Tivoli Gardens Division) and other officials from the KSAMC, also read to the students and handed out pencil cases, pencils and erasers so as to ensure that they are sufficiently equipped for their exams.
