National Homeless Coordinator, Damion Campbell, lauds the Clarendon Poor Relief Department for the significant steps it has taken towards addressing homelessness in the parish.
Mr. Campbell said the establishment of a homeless committee, revamping of the local shelter program and advocating an increase in government financial support are among the parish’s major achievements.

Under the distinguished patronage of Her Worship the Mayor of Kingston, Senator Councillor Dr. Angela Brown Burke, J.P., the KSAC held another successful staging of its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and free concert inside St. William Grant Park, downtown Kingston.
The St. Thomas Parish Council under the distinguished Patronage of His Worship the Mayor, Councillor Ludlow Mathison, Chairman-St. Thomas Parish Council hosts “St. Thomas Sings” with the Jamaica Millitary Band. This will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Memorial Gardens, Paul Bogle Square, St. Thomas, commencing at 3:00 pm. The Jamaica Millitary Band will be under the direction of Band Master Albert Hird.
The Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) recently honoured 78 individuals which included Councillors, staff, and citizens, who have given yeoman service to the city and the council.
At the KSAC’s inaugural Civic and Community Awards ceremony, 73 staff and Councillors, including former Mayors, were presented with service awards in the categories of gold, silver and bronze, while five community awards were presented to citizens.
